We are excited to begin our first year of our Windchime 4-H Horse Club. 4-H is a great way to make friends that last a lifetime, enjoy learning about the world around us, and just having some fun in a safe setting. We have many activities planned for this upcoming year. Some of the subjects we will cover include horse safety, horse types and breeds, horse facts, groming and much more!
I encourage you to visit the Clemson Extension 4-H Horse Opportunities website to become familiar with some of the other opportunities we have to offer. Their website is http://www.clemson.edu/extension/4h/kids_families/projects/agriculture_and_animals/horses/index.html
We also plan on taking a few field trips as well, such as the upcoming SC State Fair. Participants in 4-H will have the opportunity to attend the State Fair to enjoy the horse shows.
Horseback riding lessons are NOT part of the 4-H program. However, the trainers at Windchime Stables are gracious to offer a lesson discount to all Windchime 4H Club members. For more information on lessons, please contact Karen Cummings at (803) 206-8248 or Emily Murray at (803) 351-7707.
We look forward to an exciting year and hope you can join us! For more information, please contact Anna Stalnaker by e-mail at windchime4h@yahoo.com
